Crochet and Knit, Anyone, Anyone ?

I have been making Pray Shawls for Christmas.  They are really beautiful.  What could be better at that time of the year.  With all the electronics, computers, phones, games etc.  I just felt this is my way of maybe bringing back some simpler times, plus I do love to crochet and knit.

I have been crocheting for a long time.  In fact my Mom and I first learned when I was around 19 or twenty.  We picked up the books and yarn and got to work.  Now that Mom has passed I treasure those memories so much.  It was so much fun learning with each other.  We both took to crocheting but did not take real well to knitting.  It seemed so much harder.  You had to pay attention to so many different things.  So as the years went by crochet was # 1.  Now 43 years later I have picked up the knitting needles again to make a Prayer Shawl of a different kind.  It's called Praying Hand Pray Shawl.  I plan on making all the girls in my family one.  Look it up on line you won't believe how beautiful it is.  When I get done I will have the picture here so wish me luck and hope I do not drop any stitches.
