Garden seeds aplenty. Yes, we have them started now. Oh, how excited it is when you know soon you will have buckets of vegetables. Oh, I can hardly wait. We have radishes, zucchini, tomatoes, green peppers and even some avocado trees going. Can you believe it. Oh what great meals we will be having. The fresh taste of summer. We also have an orange , lemon and peach tree. Now how is that for rounding out the summer meals. I drink lots and lots of lemon water. It's my number 1 drink. So believe me when I say the lemon tree is most honored. How refreshing it is to sip on a warm summer day or after a meal that maybe did not settle too well or on rising in the morning to set everything right in the tummy area. Well, let me tell you it is great. No soda pop for me. No Siree. I don't care for all that sweetness besides it is junk sugar so who needs it.
I must say it was wonderful of my Jim to get all of this going. He had been grinding up the yard with the rototiller. Oh, what fun to watch and see the big clods break down. It has taken him several passes to get it proper for putting in the seeds. My yes, but we are excited about it all. We have many herbs going as well. Basil, Rosemary, Mint, Oregano and Sage. Would like to get more as nothing smells as good as herbs in the garden I'm quite lucky you see as my (or I should say our) garden is right out my back door as well as the fruit trees. Oh, how glorious it is to see nature at work. What's better than taking a cup of tea or cup of coffee out in the garden sitting in the warm sun and admiring all the lushes plants. I surely have been blessed. I feel as though Gods arms are around me as the sun warms my body and soul. He is there watching over me and keeping me safe.
I must get me a sun hat of some kind. The problem is I don't really look good in hats or maybe I just have not found the hat for me. They are rather expensive you know, so I can't just keep buying them and then not wear them, oh no that is much to wasteful. It is rather a problem I don't quite know how to handle. I'm sure I will come up with something as I do need to protect my face and sadly, well let's just say, my hair is not as full (if you know what I mean, and I'm sure that you do) as it use to be. We could put it another way, when you look at my white hair you keep seeing something pink and if I have been in the sun for awhile it's bright pink. What is it you say ? Well, it's my pretty (I can say that) pink scalp. Yikes! Oh the perils of getting on in age. Never fear youngsters you are already on your way and will be, where I am, sooner than you think.
